i personally think that it is the cruelest (sp?) thing in the world to let an animal go hungry. its just so unfair, because they didnt do anything wrong, and they have no way of clearly telling us that they need food, and its not right to make them suffer that way. its like with my horses, i try to always have food available to him, because i know that he will stop eating once he is full, but he does so much for me, so i dont want him to ever have the feeling of hunger, no matter what. same goes for dogs, cats, bunnies, any animal at all. its just not fair to make them go through something like that.
I agree 100%! I'm talking about this (and general horse abuse and slaughter) in a speech I have to give at my school. More power to you! ^^

...neither should humans. And so many people die of starvation every year
But yeah. If you have a pet you have to make sure it always has the stuff it needs, especially food!, because you're keeping it from being able to take care of itself. Where is it supposed to hunt for it's own food if it's stuck inside your house or chained to your backyard?

thats so true. its sad how people neglect to feed their animals. if you own them, you are responisble for their well-being. its really sad. too many people dont relise that. im glad you understand though.
Feh. I overfeed my cat. xD He scratches at his bag, or his bowl, and whines when he's hungry. So I give in even if he's already eaten what he's supposed to for the day. Probably not the healthiest thing, but I definitely have too much sympathy for hungry animals to deny them.
